Randy Pausch, computer science prof at Carnegie Mellon, gave his last lecture on September 18. He was upbeat, funny, fit - even doing push-ups on the stage. But he knew, as did his audience, the his recently diagnosed pancreatic cancer will end his life in a matter of months.
The idea of a Last Lecture Series has been popular on many campuses: what would you say, what wisdom would you pass along, if it were your last chance.
Pausch spoke about fulfilling childhood dreams - shared some of his - about tenacity. But ultimately, about how to live one's life. The clip below shows the Wall Street Journal report, followed by links to the first of 10 segments on YouTube that contain the whole lecture.
