Denver is Hopping

True confession: I am not much of a sports fan. In fact, I rarely know which sports are in season and which are out of season.

So you can imagine my surprise at finding an early morning flight to Denver packed to the bursting point, long lines at Baggage Claim, people talking to complete strangers in animated voices. At the car rental location, people swarmed around the self-serve kiosks, waited impatiently in a line that swirled around itself several times. The air seemed full of excitement.

Indeed. I didn't know Denver had a baseball team, let alone that Game 3 of the World Series would be played in Coors Field this evening. It will be a challenge for the fans - cool temps even into the 30s are predicted. I hope they all have a great time - and I am glad not to be in the thick of it.

Glad you could go and experience that thrill! And don't worry. My son who is a big baseball fan and went to many Rockies games and enjoyed Coors field (he now is back in Twins country) got a call from his friend who still lives in Breckenridge to tell him "The people of Colorado just realized they have a baseball team!"
